4. ತುಳು ಒಗಟುಲಾ,ಗಾದೆಲುಲಾ– ಗೊಂಚಿಲ್ 2

ಒಗಟುಳು

1..ಕೆಸರಿಜ್ಜಾನ್ದಿ ಗುವೆಲ್ಡು ಒಸರ್ ತಪ್ಪುಜಿ.  (= ಬಾಯಿ ಬೊಕ್ಕ ಆಯಿಟ್ ಬರ್ಪಿನ ದೊಲ್ಲೆ = Mouth and saliva)

2.ನಡು ನೀರುಡು ಬೋಲ್ಕಲ್ ಪಾಂಬುಡ್ (= ಅಲೆತ ಮಿತ್ತುಡ್ ಬೋಲ್ನೆಯ್ ನೀಂದುನ್ = Butter floating on Butter milk).

3.ಬಾನೊಡು ಬೋಂಟೆ, ಭೂಮಿಡ್ ಅಜಕಳ (= ತಾರೆದ ಬೊಕ್ಕ ತಾರಿದ ಮರೊಟ್ದುಕಳಿ ದೆತ್ತುದು ತಿರ್ತ್ ಬತ್ತುದು ಪಾಲು ಮಲ್ಪುನು, ಪಂಡ ಮಾರುನ್ = Toddy tapping and its distribution). (‘Ajakal’ = Place where sharing of hunted animal is done in olden days. It is a ritualistic distribution. See relevant Post in our Tulu Studies Blog).

ಗಾದೆಲು

1. ಕಿಚ್ಚಿ ಪೊತ್ತುದು ತೆಕ್ಕು, ಕುಚ್ಚನೆ ಪೊತ್ತೊಂದೇ ಉಪ್ಪು.  (Insulting words are never forgotten for longby one who is wronged; but a fire dies down on burning out a thing).

2. ಕಿಚ್ಚಿಡ್ಡು ಮಲ್ಲ ತೂ ಇಜ್ಜಿ (jolousy is like a burning fire).

3. ಡಿಕ್ಕೆಲ್ ಕೋರಿ ಒಕ್ಕುನ್ದು; ಕೆಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಗು ಚಕ್ರಸರ (Wearing costly jewelry by a woman to show off even when she has nothing to eat).

4.ದಿಗ್ರುದಾಯನ್ ಮಗರ್ದ್ ತೂವಡ. (Never believe an oily-tongued and deceitful man and keep him at arms-length)

5.ದಾಸಾಳ ಪೂ ಸೂಡಿಗತ್ತ್, ಮರ್ಲುದ ಪಾತೆರ ಕೆಲಸೊಗತ್ತ್.(Like a horse-shoe flower is not fit for braid, foolish talk (make-believe words) is not fit tobe relied upon).

6.ನಿದ್ರೆದಾಯಗ್ ಮದ್ಮೆ ದಾಯೆಗ್. (One has to be attentive and careful to getthings done).

 -ನೆಯ್ತಿನಾರ್: ಹೊಸಬೆಟ್ಟು ವಿಶ್ವನಾಥ್, ಪುಣೆ
